Maj Michael Moore, CAP

Michael Moore is CadetStuff's Senior Forum Moderator and a guy who has thus far failed to supply his own biography for the site, nearly 2 years after his introduction to the CadetStuff community. Therefore, what you will read below is actually made up by the Managing Editor, and while it may sound convincing and has some basis in reality, its likely just as accurate as that other bastion of "convincing and based in reality" publications, the National Equirer.

Michael joined the Naval Sea Cadet Corps first in 1982 in the Puget Sound area of Washington State. Concerns that the repeated chafing of his float coat was going to give him a permanent neck rash, Michael threw up his hands and shipped over that OTHER august cadet organization, the Tiger Cubs, where he found that his leadership skills and penchant for the "Dark Arts" put him in good stead with the adult leadership, but somewhat afoul of the social mores of the Pacific Northwest.

Fleeing for the relative safety of Port Roberts, WA, he attempted to start his own cadet program centered on the Immigration and Naturalization Service. This was mostly an attempt to get around the fact that Port Roberts is the only place in the lower 48 were you have to go NORTH, through Canada, to get to the rest of the United States and a real department store.

Finding Tim Hortons, Canadian Tire and the Beer Store to not have the level of product selection that met his American sensibilites, Michael once again hit the road, bringing his travelling roadshow to parts of Skagit County, Washington, where he changed his name to D.B Cooper and took up skydiving. This attracted both the attention of the local media and the local constabulary, and following a protracted legal battle where he was told to change his name to "Something Else," Michael found out that Else is not a very surname in the U.S. or Canada and went back to the Moore family name before giving it all up temporarily for the relative anonymity of the French Foreign Legion under the name "Guy de Loimbard".

Most recently, Michael haunted online forums in search of lost family members, and instead somehow stumbled upon Civil Air Patrol. After presenting credentials that showed he was associated in some obscure and bizzare fashion with a royal family, or royalty, or some other form of nobility from Northern Europe, he was awarded a new title of "Baron" or something. All we know is that he can be a royal pain in the butt, and he's quite proud of it. Even the photo above, while of a "Baron," is not of OUR "Baron".
